Default Headers baking power steering hose

I had headers (289-302 1 5/8 inch) installed on '68 coupe w/289. The exhaust system is now mico-inches from the PS hose and caused it to fail.

Any suggestions/solutions?

You need to contact a custom hose manufacturer (industrial or race manufacturer) and bring your old hose to them. Explain your requirements that this is for a high temperature application and that you are in need of a high temperature hose with shielding and or insulation.

Good Luck
