Default Brake lights go out with driving lights on 68 mustang

I replaced brake light sender, brake bulbs, blinker switch and all fuses. Everything works until I turn on the running lights. brakes go out as well as all lights, take foot off brakes and in 15 seconds the driving lights will come back on. What could be causing this?
Also the brake lights work without any fuses installed. don't the brake lights run through a fuse? Thanks for your reply.

Default Brake light problem,

You didn't say if the turn signals work, either way my first thought is the headlight switch, it all runs thru it. The turn signal switch basically just routs the circuit thru th flasher. did they use to work properly? Also make sure wiring hasn't been, let us say ....modified.
Headlight switches can do some weird stuff, I had one once that would cut out headlight while driving down the road!! Tell me that isn't exciting on a dark country road!! But same as you in some
respect, intermittent problems
hope
this helps
Don
