I'm still not sure if I like billet grills on the new 05 mustangs or not. Just depends on what color its going to be on and what other apperance mods you have. I like the 2nd option better though.

Well if you have your heart set on one I'd say the T Rex looks a lot better, but honestly I think the stock grill looks far superior to any aftermarket ones I've seen yet.

I don't really care for the look of the billet grills. But I guess if one has to be chosen, it would be the T-Rex.
Personally, I prefer this one (http://www.musclecardirect.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=702)

Which one hawgman? The one with the lights centered in the grille?

If so, I hope to have an example of how that looks on my car by the end of the week. If the shop would hurry up and get finished!

I installed both billet grills (upper and lower) this weekend. Purchased from www.grille4u.com. Total cost for both upper and lower, $170.00 inlcuding shipping. Well made but installation instructions were not well done.

I install the lower grille b/c somebody reached under the lower opening, not protected at all, and ripped the wires lose on my horn, not knowing the GT has two horns. They set off my alarm and they bent my license plate when they jerked their arm from the opening.

I took the mustang logo off and had to use my hand sander on the plastic inset were the mustang logo was fastened too so the grille would fit. This require me to take the original grille off, which isn't hard to do.

Will post pic's later.

Yea, the center fog light grill. Which one did you get, the SS or the CDC? There is another company that is about to release one very soon that you won't have to replace the lower grill to get everything to match because it looks just like the factory grill but with relocated fog lights. Personally, I can't wait!

Professor Wizard,

Please tell me how did you ever get the top grill on, I for one can't get a hold of the bolts to tighten down from the outside? Bottom portion of the T-Rex no problem, I'm thinking of taking the whole bumper off just to get this on.

Thanks,

Mike

The Top Gril...

I learned the hard way... Tried first to put it on with the Grill still on the car... gave up on that after an couple of hours.

Figured out real fast.. the factory gril is NOTHING to take out.... 4 spring clippies on each side... pop those and the thing falls out onto the ground.. careful of the fog light wires. From there it could not be easier.

TRex cut a special deal with me to make a matching grill piece to go in my Shaker Hood Scoop... they sent me a lightly damaged piece large enough I could make 3 shaker grills.. (In case I screw up the first one.. LOL). I'll post pics of the project once I get started on it.

Hello,

I've seen the four clips on each side, how much pressure is needed to bend the piece thats against it? Didn't want to break them, since they are attached to the bumper itself and can't be replaced.

Happy Holidays To Everyone,

Mike

I got the SS one. The shop called this morning as I was leaving the house, the grille and hood are on and I can pick it up the evening. I cannot wait till 4pm to leave work!
