Well hmmm.... I wish I would have saw this earlier...I posted a legit thread asking from 1/4 mi. tips in the 4.6L Specific General Discussion forum and before I get any responses it gets moved to the Street/Strip forum. Which sucks because now I can't reply to any of the responses. So I have about a week before my 30days is up and the thread will more than likely be dead. Thanks guys, I appreciate coming to forums to use them as intended (gather information and learn not spam or pedal parts) and can not do so....AWESOME!! I spent 1 month only searching and reading before joining and when I did join I did not post much since I didn't think a newb would have much to offer. So I spent tonight checking out member's rides and posting my comments on them so I could reach my 50 post count now I will spend the next week reading and waiting for my "street/strip" post to die....Sorry for all the complaining but this seriously gets under my skin.

...but those responses were still helpful, weren't they?

True...However, I find when the original poster (or OP as it is put around here) does not reply to responses in the thread (especially when they are questions) you do not get as many quality responses as normal. Such as now you can look in my thread and it has turned into a debate about whether DA is accurate or should be used.....Had I been able to post replies to responses in my post that may not have been the case and instead of becoming an off topic debate I could have got more opinions on my original post. I can see why my post could be placed in "street/strip", however, I posted it in 2005-2010 Mustangs "4.6L V8 specific General Discussion" and am not sure that it warranted being moved. I mean I am asking about my 2005 Mustang that indeed has a 4.6L V8 and it is general discussion about what I am doing wrong while driving at the track. But either way, I am a member of many forums (at least one for each of my hobbies) and I can understand wanting to keep new people out of the classifieds of any forum and possibly even other sections with a high risk of trolling/spamming. I just can't understand why on earth if the mods were going to keep newbs out of a particular forum they would move a newbs thread there....It makes no sense, I have no problem not posting in certain sections of the forum to abide by the rules, however, what I do have a problem with is my thread being moved to that section of the forum. In any event I will drop it, live with it, wait a week till I SHOULD be able to post there and try to revive my thread. I just thought the forum feedback section would be an appropriate place to leave my feedback on the matter. This forum seems to hold a lot of good information and have a lot of good members, I plan on being one of those members for a long time......

Since this is a feedback forum here is some from me.
I think this rule (30 days 50 posts) is counter productive as far as building any sort of online community.
I would guess that close to 100% of the people that join are Mustang owners and are mature enough to post responsibly. IMO forcing people to put up 50 posts or wait only serves to foster poor post quality.
I have been the admin of a site that rivals the traffic and member volume this forum has and we have never had to use such a heavy handed method to control spammers or trolls. Every forum has Moderators forums and ban features to eliminate these issues.
so if ive been a member since sept 07 and reached 50+ posts but reached the number slowly meaning i didnt post in spurts or frequently, i have restrictions? Will this explain why i cant put a pic in my sig?

that stems from you only having 50 posts in 4 years; if you are not very 'active' in your posting, some things still won't be accessible even if you have the post count.

^^ you apparently haven't been to the off topic section yet
at times, i do kind of agree that a 50 post count does seem a little high for legit members; but on occasion, there are spammers that unload their info wherever they can, so a 50 post count minimum does help prevent them from accessing certain areas before the mods have a chance to use their ban-hammer.

possibly, but it might depend on how you are uploading your sig. if you are uploading through mf (i.e. uploading on mf's servers) only your uploading/attachment permissions may be restricted. if you haven't already, try uploading through an image site (like photobucket) and if it still won't upload, then your overall image uploading permissions are still restricted
