This forum is not intended for users to just join and sell ****, talk about races at the light, or post in off topic. The forum title is "Mustangforums"....where people generally expect to talk about their Mustang and visit the TECH sections for questions/problems about their MUSTANG.

I find it deeply hilarious when people join, get upset because they can't sell their garbage on here or cannot make a post in Off Topic. If they start slamming the Mod team/Admin on here, it's like a double lol. If you just want to sell something, go to ebaymotors. If you just want to talk about OT material, join an Off Topic based forum. If you have a problem with your Mustang, then check out our TECH sections (use the search function, too!).

..but there isn't something stated to members that are in the process of signing up about the 50/30 rule?

As a new member myself, just bought my first mustang a week ago, I understand why MF doesn't want new members to have full access. People would just join to troll or sell things and make money. But why block us from the want to buy ads? We don't make money off it and for the people that just bought a mustang might need to buy parts. I just bought an older mustang and it needs a lot of work done to it(just a lot of minor things) especially before the inspection at the end of the month.

Not trying to start an argument, as I enjoy this forum, but just pointing out that maybe giving us some access to the want ads(not for sale ads) might be a good idea.

because then people would start selling items in the want to buy section. as one of the people who cleaned up the classifieds from the spammers and scammers a couple of years ago ask me how i know. go ahead. a lot of people were getting screwed over a couple of a years ago and as a growing website that isnt a reputation that you want to have on the net

That's understandable than. I guess if someone is gonna scam someone they don't really care if they are in the right forums section lol.

Question

seems certainly like a good idea but wouldn't it be easier for us newbies to just talk to the admin in a conversation to show that we are not scammer's and from there become a member, seems like quite a few people even after 30 days and 50 posts still cant post threads on topics they need..

Just sucks a bit I'm on a fresh build of a 90 mustang and need help with what type tranny I have so i can buy some internals but can't get help from a site that surely someone knows what auto tranny I have...

You don't have access to the Tech sections? Can you post a new thread in Tech?

Despite not having 50 posts, you should still be able to post a reply in the Classifieds.
