Default 99 Gt odometer problem

I just bought a 99 GT with 115xxx miles and sometimes when you hit bumps the odometer will cut off but will keep counting, if you tap it with your finger it will turn back on. any advice on how to fix it?

Have you checked the connections?

This is the wrong section, try the 4.6l Section, you will get answers there.
