Talking Throttle Position Questions

Hi boys!! My name is Erikka, I'm 21 years old and I am new to the forum. This is my first thread... lol. I have had my car for a little over a year. I love it. I have had a few fun things done to it, but from the exterior of the car you would never know.

I have a quick question. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. The other day my check engine light came on. So I grabbed my scanner and checked it. I can't remember the exact code, but it was something about the throttle position. My car will randomly idle high. And it doesn't have a set RPM that it will idle at either. Sometimes it idles at 900, and others it's1500, or even 2200... wtf?? I can rev it up and it doesn't stop. I can shut the car off and it won't stop... nothing really works. It just fixes itself. The scanner said my car was at 16% throttle at an idle.

So I guess my question is... what should I do? Any reason it could be doing this? Thanks guys! I appreciate any and all help!!

You probably won't get an answer here lol. This is for forum problems and technical difficulties within MF. You will want to post that question in this forum:
4.6L Tech

Also, that code would really help. Someone a little more mechanically inclined than myself should be able to answer this though.

BEFORE replacing the TPS the scan tool said the code is P1120PP Sensor out of range low. I erased the code.

I have to ask, are you topless in your avatar? Regardless, welcome to the forums, if I didn't welcome you already. I also see the other 4.6 boys are helping you out, so I will leave it at that.
