Default IDLE ISSUE

I have a very annoying issue with the idle that has been going on for months. the idle would surge up and down on its own and then sometimes it would rise non stop unless I put the car into gear or shut the engine off. I bought a new f.r. throttle body. didn't fix it. cleaned the maf sensor, changed fuel filter, cleaned CAI and nothing fixed it. ended up buying a f.r. intake manifold and f.r. cams , had them installed and car retuned and the problem seemed to disappear. So I thought it was the runner controls that were causing the problem since maybe the new manifold seemed to fix the issue. well last week it all started again after about 5 months of no problems. now the last two days the idle hangs in between shifts and when im in neutral the rpms rise non stop. ill shut the car off. wait a few mins and start it up and it runs ok for a while. im lost on what could be doing this. do I need to replace the maf with an aftermarket one? to handle more air flow? any help or people with similar issues? its a 08 gt

Start a new thread in the appropriate Tech section, the one specific to your year Mustang. This is the wrong section. Good luck...
