If your car is in good condition, IE. no dents, scraches or damage of any kind, it is the easiest. If you do have any damage they will have to fix all the damage first then they can continue with the painting. Any shop will just take apart the car, scuff the doorjams, under trunk, under the hood and any other hard to reach parts. Then they will paint all those parts, install them back on the car, and then paint the entire car at one time. I have my car at the Waynesville Career Center getting painted right now. I have them installing my entire body kit and painting it at the same time. As you can see in my profile my car was black and now it is going to be Grabber Blue. If you go to some huge shop it will cost you 3 to $4,000 just to paint it. The trade school is only charging me $1,000 for the whole thing(installing body kit, changing the paint color and using their paint.) If you can find someone who owns a small paint shop it will also cost you less then the big shops, just make sure you check their output for quality. But the best route I think is to use a Trade School around your area, it will take longer due to they have to work durring school hours only, but they can't put out anything that is bad quality.
1 1/2 gallons will paint a car inside and out. When I purchased this paint I made sure that I got enought just incase i get anything different for the car; IE. roadster covers, different side scoops or damage something that can be replaced, that way I can match it exactly.
