Hey guys just a quick question.. I just installed my OR h pipe mills etc.. and had a recent oil change with mobil 1 52k miles on the stang.. now sometimes i smell oil burn or like oil smell when i come to a stop or light etc.. not all the time .. but does mobil one suck? or does the h pipe have anything to do with it? no leaks anywhere with the oil .. anything i can check?

it's the H pipe. you smell the exhaust more with an o/r pipe

Agreed, you'll smell the Hpipe "breaking in" for a couple weeks. With 52k on the clock you shouldnt be dripping any oil from the rear main seal, but mustangs are notorious for that. I used mobile 1 and it worked great, just remember that it's better at lubricating but also less viscous, meaning that it will get into every nook and cranny and cause a little drip to become a bigger drip.

That being said, put a cardboard piece under your motor and oil pan when you park it at night and see if there's any drips etc for a few weeks. Dont freak out if there are, just make sure you know it's oil and not something else, and dont forget that a tiny drop of oil makes a quarter sized dot.

I would say its the h-pipe, too. You don't have cats anymore so you are gonna get the full smell of the exhaust...especially noticeable when you are stopped at a light or somthething. Mobil 1 is good oil.

Check to make sure the dipstick is pushed all the way in. I've had this happen and the oil drips out right on the header.
