Default K&N FIPK

I just ordered a K&N FIPK for my '03 GT (not yet installed). Does anyone else out there have this and what do you think about it?

Just put the damned thing on and let us know....

I personally think that most of what you people do here is rediculous as far as what you pay and what parts you get....I mean, ****, I made my own crap for my Saturn in my back yard, and the only part I paid for was a stock 4-2-1 header at a junkyard, and that ran ma $20!

Get some mandrel bent exhaust pipe and radiator hose at a diesel shop, along with a filter and worm gears, and make your own!

ohhhh kay... Personally I don't mind paying for a quality designed and engineered product. Not much into "rigging ****" on a new $28,000 car, I'm not working with a Saturn here. I appreciate the input anyway.

Sup,

This is coming from a guy who drives a saturn lucky enough to put out 120rwhp. You made all your parts with stuff from your back yard. DID YOU USE OLD GUTTERS FOR A BODY KIT OR DID YOU USE A OLD CAMPBELL SOUP CAN FOR A EXHAUST! Man if you don't want to help someone then don't bother writing back to them. People ask questions and the point of forums is to have them answered. NOT TO BE CRITICIZED ABOUT!

To southerncomfort82

I have not had any experience with the k&n. Would like the hp numbers with it on though.

From my understanding: you ordered a part already and want to know what the performance increase is

My advice: since it's alreayd on it's way write up a review.

To the dumbass in the cobra: The fact that I'm 19 and drove a Saturn in high school doesn't mean squat as far as what I know and can do. I made the intake out of exhaust pipe and rubber elbows, cut off about 3/10 of a second, grabbed the header, that was probably about 1/10th (not much since the stock cat back is still on), and I made a big bore throttle body with a drill, which all combined cut me down to 15.7, from a stock time of 16.2 (new clutch helped out a lot, the original was spent).

Just because I don't own a mustang doesn't mean squat. I used to drive a 9 second 4,200 pound Chevelle out in Indianapolis.

I also find it funny that you say "lucky to put out 120 Rwhp". It's a FWD dip****.

I don't see how I can help since the part's already on it's way:
"I just ordered a K&N FIPK for my '03 GT (not yet installed)."

Install it nice and clean, and if you don't like it, clean it up, put it back in the box and send it back! Geez!

I installed it today. There is a noticeable improvement in throttle response, dosen't have the momentary "lag" when shooting the juice to it. I would say it was worth the $200 bucks. By the way, if any of you are interested, the cheapest I found was on www.ajusa.com, its $204 and free shipping.
