Default C6 in place of a C4??

I want to have more then 3 gears in my 1966 289 V8. The problem is I don't want the EXTREME mess of making my car a stick with a T-5. So I want to know if it would be less work to find a C6 replace the the C4 with that. Will it be worth the money or am I better off going with a manual T-5?

On a stang that old, it won't be an issue, you don't have to worry about an ECU or anything Your biggest issue would be making it fit and bolt up, and adding a new pedal, no big deal. I am not positive on the differences between the C4 and the C6... I can suggest a manual transmission though, they are a lot of fun, I wouldn't own a stang with an auto

The T5 may be a little weak, shoot for a TR3650 (in mid-01 to 04 stangs), or a T-56 to hold down big power. Maybe a TKO, too.
