Default 429 THUNDERJET!!

CAN A 429 THUNDERJET FIT IN A 1986 MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE?
AND IF SO WHAT MODS NEED TO BE DONE?
OR WHERE COULD I FIND THIS INFORMATION?
I HAVE ACCESS TO A 429 AND WOULD LOVE TO PUT THIS
ENGINE IN THE 86 GT ON A RESTORE PROJECT!!!

But regaurdless, can a 429 fit into a 86GT and if so, is it
a huge project and wht will need to be don?

like trying to put 10 lbs of s**t in a 5 lb bag! this is a very big project, you got any idea how wide a 429 engine is? the shock towers most likely will not clear the engine, so you're looking at redoing the whole front end of the car and maybe the firewall too! also you'll need a new front suspension for the weight and new brakes all around if you want it to stop! also a new cooling system. anything can be done if you throw enough money at it, but I don't know that this project would be worth it!

ide be willing to bet it would fit as far as width goes...there are plenty of guys with 4v motors in fox's, and we all know how wide those are

it might fit, but he might also have to pull the engine to change the spark plugs! that what they had to do when these were in early Stangs!
