I know the screen you are talking about, it seems it was brass if I remember correctly, however neither my 2003 Mach 1 or 2006 Ranger came with one.

Does anyone have pictures, or a website on where I can see what it looks like? thanks! Also, where can I find one? Vash, is that one made for mustangs, or is it a universal fit?
just go to advance autoparts and tell them you need one for a whatever year mustang.

or... autozone will probly be the same as well.

Default RE: Gas cap/fuel door

I have a locking fuel door on my car from MGW (www.mgwltd.com). I don't think they make them any longer and they were pricey at $200 new. I bought mine used and the quality of the piece, like all of their merchandise, is top notch. I thought UPR (www.uprproducts.com) made locking fuel doors but I did not see any on their site.

I ordered a Stant locking gas cap for my Ranger about a month ago from www.rockauto.com and the price was better, even after shipping costs were added, than any of the local outlets like Pep Boys, AutoZone, etc.

Default Motorcraft Locking Gas Cap

Just to let every one know, I did tons of research & found that the Motorcraft locking gas cap for a 04-10 Ford F-150 pick up, part number FC-1056 will fit the 05-09 mustangs perfectly & is an exact fit, there are no check engine light issues at all & the physical appearance is identical to the non locking cap. It also comes with the tether/leash. I bought it from a Ford dealer & was kind of costly at $43.00. I chose to buy mine there, so I could see it to compare with the 05-09 non locking cap, but have seen the same Motorcraft FC-1056 on Ebay for as low as $29.00.

Hope this post helps everyone that is looking for a perfect fit locking gas cap with tether/leash for a 05-09.

Thanks, Rick
