..but if you're gonna spend 2800+(SC), why not go save a grand more for something better(Turbo)? Might as well go whole-hog I'd say.

im not a F/I scholar, i dont understand your reasoning why a turbo is better than a supercharger... a turbo only spools when exhaust is released, but a supercharger is constantly spooling

Because you get more HP pound for pound with a Turbo, they are more efficiant.

A twin screw super charger creates more heat as it compreses the air and an after cooler is not as easy to set up for a roots style blower. An intercooled turbo is also more efficiant because there is less power lost from parasitic drag. Upping the boost is also easier (to a point) with a turbo. Roots blowers are good don't get me wrong, but pound for pound a properly set up turbo will out perform it. Why do you think there are 03/04 Cobra guys putting turbos on thier cars?

ah good point. but what about centrifical superchargers? you can add aftercoolers/intercoolers the same way as on a turbo

Thats true you can, but it is still drivin off a belt and peak power still comes in higher than a turbo.
