Default 225/55/16's to 225/60/16's, help asap please

Im looking at some 225/60/16's for my 98 gt, i have on there 225/55/16's, what does the 60 and 55 mean? and will it fit in my wheel wells? because my local junk yard has a set of 4 tires, bran new off of a wrecked car, and they're selling em for 20 bucks, im not sure what they are but the tread is excellent on it. im hoping to get em tonight or tomorrow morn, any opinions would help thanx

the 60s will have a bigger profile. it prob wont look so good, and it will throw the speedo off.

i believe the 225 would be the width of the tire and the 55 would be the percentage of the width for the side wall. not sure tho

i got the tires put on today, and to tell you the truth, they seem to fill up the wheel wells and gave it a little better stance imo, and look good, lol, and i can seem to drift a heck of a lot better with these ones, dump i down a gear around that corner and let the ass end slide away and keep her out the whole way down the next 3 corners, YAY!, damn, tracks are fun, not having to worry about hitting some big tree
