Default How to burn out an auto...?

you don't need to burn out like the pic of the grand national your just burning up the tires and choking yourself
best way is to have a friend who might have a one of those infared heat gun to check temp have him right it down with your 60 ft time so you can make adjustments with tire temp, air pressure, leaving rpm

Dude! We see the Chevelle! Enough of it!

What the hell's the point of digging through to find something that's 5 months old to put up the pictures of your project!?!?!?

God damn man!

Never ever rev your motor in netural and drop it into gear. You need a new tranny in a week. Power breaking won't hurt the tranny. I can't say the same for the rear brakes. But brakes are cheaper then a new tranny. Just keep it in regular drive. Your tranny won't come out of 1st gear anyway, while your power breakin. You might wanna look into some line locks. That will let you lock the front brakes, without using your rear brakes.<IMG src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0">

My 4.6 auto will burn tires without braking or shifting. Just put it in drive and smash the gas. She'll go 5 or more car lengths while burning them. You don't get the smoke and all, but hey, at least this way is easier on the tires brakes and tranny. My 02 Z28 with it's tall rear end wouldn't spin its tires as easy as the stang. Nor would my 01 vette burn them as much (albeit is had 275 tires and a tall rear end). Both were auto.

I don't know about your Mustangs, but my 03 has a traction controle that has to be turned off to smoke my tires. If I do a brake stand with trac off, I can smoke the heck out of my tires.
