Default Anyone know how to program a key fob?

I have an extra key fob that's not programed, does anyone know the procedure to program it? I know #2 key has to be programed at the dealership, but aren't the key fobs user programable?

keys can only be programmed by a dealer or someone with equal capabilitys the chip needs to be programmed to the computer in the console.... now keyless entry remotes you can program yourself.

not in NY you cant the dealer hold rights to it and wouldnt release it to me...... so they said anyways my dad worked with a guy that had a comp program that he could match the chip to the car or however it works but i dont think you can do it just by liek some sort of step procedure.... i could be wrong but i think it depends on the years

Remember that all other fobs have tobe present when programming.

1. Cycle the ign from off to on 8 times ending in the on position.

At this point your locks will cycle ( they will lock and then unlock )

2. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time on the 1st remote you want to program.

The locks will cycle ( they will lock and then unlock ) letting you know that it was
accepted.

3. Now quickly press and hold at the same time the lock and unlock buttons on the second remote.

Again the locks will cycle letting you know it was accepted.

4. Shut the ignition off now and the locks will cycle one last time.

Finished
