Default Driver side power window wont work

I have a 94 GT. My driver side window doesnt work.

The power lock and the passenger side window switcheson the driver's door work. Only the drivers side window is inoperable. When I push the window button I can hear a electrical clicking sound in the door towards the back of the car, so power is going from the switch to inside the door. Is that where the motor is?If so, is the door panel hard to take off so I can get to the motor?

Thanks!

It sounds like the ground on the motor is
not making connection.
You might try holding the switch down while
hitting th door around the outer door handle.

If the window is stuck closed don't try to
open it, It will always stick open when it is going
to rain.

You need to take of the arm rest and door panel
to see the wiring and motor.

Default RE: Driver side power window wont work

I have a ’95 with a similar problem, mine you can hear the motor run but the window will not go down. When I took the door panel apart and tried to see if the window was off the track it would not work at all. When I got the panel back on it was making the same noise as before. Any one got an idea if this a window that came off the track or if the motor is bad? If it is off the track, how do you fix?

Getting the panel off is easy. The panel, with the window and door switches just pops out. Then disconnect the wires. Look for any plastic buttons that are easy to break and hold things in place. Push up on the door panel. It should come right off. Getting it back on is harder. To get to the motor easier you may want to take the speaker out also. That way you can get at the motor from both directions.

your gear in the motor is stripped. it is plastic and over time it strips. i would change the motor.

My power windows are starting to not operate. Both at the same time. Some times they work and sometimes they don't would anyone know if this is just the switch or something more. The switches are original to the car and its getting old. 1987 Mustang GT but I still love my car any ideas if I need a couple of switches or maybe the entire master switch panel oh and not to mention my door lock switch isn't working either. Thanks Linda
