Default hooking up gauge to dash light

Hi wear is the easiest place on my 95 cobra to tap into the dash lighting? To hook my new gauge to. Also wear is the easiest place to tap into for power when the key is on? The wear abouts and colors would be great. I dont want to waste the time checking wires for current ill just ask you guys. Thanks

I will give you some help but how will you learn anything if we were to give you all the answers. For the lights Tap into the headlamp switch wiring that would be the smartest thing to do. I will let you figure what wire to tap into just use a test light. Key on power sourse is best found at the ignition switch connector at the column again I will let you use a test light for the correct wire. Or I could tell you it is the red with blue tracer. Oh that might be the wire to the starter relay LOL. Or is it the white with pink tracer? Don't be lazy test the wires and make sure for yourself. P.S. do not tap into a wire of lesser size/ gauge than what you are hooking up or you will be sorry when things melt or blow fuses
