Default 2003 Mustang 3.8l - 2005 Mustang 4.6l engine swap

I am considering swapping my 3.8l v6 for the new 2005 GT 4.6, the person buying the car is going to replace the engine, so the 4.6l will be available. did ford make any huge mods to the 2005 v8 that would make it very difficult or impossible to swap?

Well its a totally different frame I think. Not sure but you may have to make some motor mount adjustments. It would probably be easier and cheaper in the end to just get a '03/'04 Cobra engine and ECU and all the wiring along with a new tranny and have that installed... but I may be wrong.

ok, I will not say it is easy or maybe it is have not done a new car, like why. I understand the desire to change out the 3.8L but Ford has had only problems with the new 4.6L's I would order a turn -key motor and get what you realy want.

the 05 4.6 is a 3v instead of a 2v motor
