Dr. X pipe Anyone use the
I was just reading up on the Dr. X pipe with electric cut-outs. Damm these are just too cool. I remember the old pull cable type that JC whitney sells wHat junk. These new Dr.x pipes are trick and look like they are built too last. </P>
Is anyone here using them and if so how do you like the Dr. x products.</P>

Here's an idea:
Just buy the cut outs and make your own X pipe. How?
Get 2 45* mandrel bends. Cut a slice out of the peak arch of each, mate the two together and weld them up.
Viola...instant X pipe for the price of a weld, 2 45* mandrel bends, some $5 of piping, and a couple hours labor....if that. Much cheaper than $100 for a universal I would imagine......much less than the $200 crap for direct fits.....
