Default ccrm for mustang

Hey, all! New to forum. I just have a quick question. Will a ccrm from a 1999 mustang gt w/4.6l v8 work in a 2000 mustang w/ 3.8l v6? They look completley interchangeable but I just want to be 100% sure. Thanks for any assistance!
