Default question about conventional/synthetic oils

i dont drive my mustang much, maybe once every other week, and i drive it hard whenever i get a chance, i dont know if this is a myth or not but is it better to use conventional if you dont drive much because it sticks to metal or leaves a layer of oil on it or something and synthetics dont? i dont want everything being grinded up the first minute i start the car, then start driving it hard.

thanks.

What sucks is once you use syntheticyou can't go back to conventional, not to mention synthetic is alot more expensive. (but you probably already know that)

I'm pretty sure that's a myth. The Supertech synthetic i run is less than $3 a quart, imo its worth it. Even if my car sat for a while and then i drove it hard i'd still use synthetic oil.

switching from synthetic to conventional isnt the best thing for your motor i mean its not going to explode if you do it once but if you do it a lot it does wear differently and your motors life expectancy will shorten as for conventional being better than syntheitc for an ocassiaonal driver... i really dont think that conventional leaves a layer where synthetic deosnt it will be the same viscosity and weight so it should be the same
