Default Gear Ratio
Hi, I need help choosing the right gears, Im thinkng about 3.80 POSI, what do you think?
The car is a 68 mustang, 302 engine, headers,FlowMasters, TCI AOD, and 3.00 open gear

Defintiely go with a lower gear, 3.08 is a pretty pig gear. if you dont wan't anything too steep check out some 3.55s.

I have an 05 Mustang GT, 4.6, auto trans. It has CAI, Twin 62 mm throttle body and high performance pulley's. I had 373's installed, wish I went to 410's. I pull 3grand at 80 mph. I had plenty of room for 410's. Think twice before you do this and are dissapointed. General rule is "Go Big or Go Home". Rather too much , than too little !

I drive it every day but I like to get the good performance for the weekendI think 3.80 is a best all arownd choise dont you think?

With the AOD, you should be okay with 3.80 gears.
