My 1994 mustang headlight lens are becoming a yellow color how do I get them clear again.

i wet sanded mine, i also heard that some toothpaste works but havent tried it

What grit did you use and did it scratch them.How clear did they they come out.

It'a a little weak, but did you try plastx, meguiars.

There are kits at autozone that come with all the sand papers and a polish. I have never used one but it should work.

yea you can buy the kit, i dont remember the grit. very fine though maybe 1500 and 2000 if i remember right. they came out pretty clear but give it some time and it will end up the same way again.

The also have some sort of cleaner made just for that where u almost polish it like a wax and should take the discoloration off...found at most autopart stores

I had the same problem when I had my 90 5.0. The lights were so yellow, and didn't illuminate the road ahead enough that I would always have my high beams on. Everyone who rode with me kept saying 'Man turn your brights on dude!'. Sadly I would have to reply 'These are my brights'. Eventually I did buy the kit for it though somewhere. Those models from those years are prone to that. Not just mustangs, but many ford cars from those years.

There is a polish called "Blue Magic" it's made to clean the yellowing and fading off plastic. I keep this stuff on hand in my garage, it works great!! I have done 3 sets of lights so far and they have all come out looking almost new. You can get it at any auto parts store
