Default Clock Spring - Airbags

I have been told that the clock spring is broken and it is causing my airbag light to come on. Can anyone tell me where the clock spring is located? Thank you.

under the airbag itself on the sterring wheel you will have to take the airbag off. disconnect the batt for bout 30 sec , and any capacitors holding power will die and taking the airbagout will be ok,no danger. you will have to look in back of your sterring wheel to undo the screws/bolts. and put it somewhere facing up . just be carefull its been know to depoy with static . also lock the steering wheeel with the key so it dosent turn if the front is up in the air or if its on a rack

The clock spring is under the steering wheel, there are two bolts on the back side of your steering wheel that hold the airbag in,usually covered up with little plastic caps, remove the two bolts and lift up on the airbag and remove the wire connector. Then there will be a nut or bolt in the center of the steering wheel, remove the nut or bolt and you may have to tap on the steering shaft while pulling up on the wheel to get it off the shaft. There are a couple wires that need to be threaded down through the wheel when you take it off, make sure you know which way the wheel is pointed so you can put it back on straight.the clock spring is usually yellow and has a couple screws holding it in,take the screws out and unplug the wires going to it and replace everything in reverse order.Hope this helps.
