Alright guys, here is my dilemma:

Money isn't the issue (don't get me wrong I do have a budget!), I just got to seriously thinking about what I would rather have. I have secured the funds for a supercharger, but am now second guessing myself. I don't want you to tell me what I want, I want to know what you would do. Now Im not all show no go, the mustang is fast enough now to run mid to low 13's here in south GA. A 10# kit would definately get me into the high 11's pretty easily, but I was thinking...

Spend $3,500.00 on the supercharger kit, accessories, and gauges or...

Get 2 Ricardo seats, lower car 1.5", Rouch or Saleen style rims, Cobra R front splitter, 4pt Leather wrapped roll cage + 5 point harnesses, Autometer gauge cluster, set of aftermarket cams, aftermarket mass air meter.

What would you do? The cage is for body stiffining and preparation for supercharging or nitrous in about 6 months (when the bank account recovers).

Remember I have full exhaust and 4.10 gears now too. Gimme some feedback.

Here's my thoughts for whatever they may be worth to you.

I was going through a similar thought train just the last few days. The way it goes is like this: Are you happy with running low 13s on no boost no juice?

Look at it this way, there are tons upon tons of Mustangs out there. You are not going to be the fastest one. Hell, you won't even be the fastest one in your area most likely. Individualize. Make it a road warrior vs. a strip terror vs. a dyno queen. Look at almost every mod list on any popular forum and you'll see pretty much the exact same mods over and over.

Not saying to just go Fast and Furious or anything like that, but seems most people think making any change that does not directly enhance straight line speed is like the plague.

Magnaflow is now becoming the new Flowmaster. There are so many rides with Magnaflows now, it's kinda hard to remember what a stock GT sounds like.

Supercharger could always added later anyways. And with technology marching on, they will possibly be more efficient and most likely much cheaper. And you won't look and sound like every other Stang you pass by in the mean time.

Depends really on your final goal for the car, which you may not know as most people don't. Id say that if you can do both, only one now and the other in 6 months, do the power now and showy stuff later. People expect a showy car to be able to go fast, but I favor the cars that arent all body worked out and still pack a punch. Even if your not the fastest car on the block, I think you will get just a great deal of satisfaction running high elevens, and then making the car look sweet adds to the joy of driving it. A question of personal preferance, nothing more.
