Hey guys I'm a newbie and have to ask a couple of questions (and I have done a search but neither question answered). I see post speaking about "drone" and "trumpet" in the exhaust system. What is drone and trumpet. Is it a sound, a vibration or what? Second question. I have an 07 GT...at about 2000 rpm in 5th gear I get a vibration. I originally thought it was a tire/rim. I have since decided that isn't the cause. Anyone experiencing the same thing?

The "drone" is common with Mustangs with an aftermarket exhaust above 2000rpm.

ALMOST STOCK

To me a drone is a consistent resonating sound when your at a certain speed that is unpleasant to listen to inside the car.
Kinda like hearing a Roarararararararararararararararararararararararar ararararar..

No clue what Trumpet is though.
