Default fox body 4cyl springs in a 99+

Ok maybe im just not getting the big icture but a kid in my auto class has a 04 gt and wanted to lower his car so he put fox body 4 cyl spring in the front and back. now did i miss somthing about a new reason to lower your car. i thought it was to get a better look obviously, but also to increas handling by lowering the center of gravity. now i have to say the fox body 4 cyl springs sucked when the had a 2.0l 4 and under a 4.6l they are going to suck real bad not to mention lower the life of all his balljoints bushings and every thing. maybe im still stuck in lowering my 67 and don quite realize the "complexity" of todays suspenion but could someone fill me in?

That's what it's really about. Why do you think Indy cars sit so close to the ground?

There's less space so the air travels faster, thus creating downforce. Since a street car isn't as aerodynamic, that won't really happen. But it will lower your CG.

Talk to MDValdosta, he has fox 4cyl front springs (i'm not sure about the struts though) on his GT.
