Default Jacking the car

The owners manual says Do not jack the rear of the car by the differential. Is this for safety reasons or can you damage something? I noticed two struts attached to the bottom of it. I assume you have to be carefulwith them. The attached picture shows two jacking points ahead of and inboard of the two at the rear of the frame. It almost looks likethey're at the rear seat floor pans. Can someone give me a little more info about these? This is my first post. I hope the picture is there.
Thanks Jim Birke

i dont know what those are but they are probably referring to the pinch welds next to the side skirts.

Jack it up by the axel. The area in front of the control arms will cave in if you do it from there.
