ORIGINAL: 1fststang

go with a 302 stroked out to a 331 or 347 the 351 has a taller deck height so with efi u will need a new cowl induction hood and there is a pretty big weight differance between a 302 and 351, a 331 or 347 will have just as much power if not more then a 351 and most of the acessory brackets will have to be changed if u go with a 351 on a 331 or 347 u can just use ur old ones. well good luck on what ever u do [:@]
not true at all. 351W is not that much heavier when you compare it to the displacement possibilities of the 2 engines (347 to 427, thats 80 cubes, about 80 hp), not to mention 351Ws can take more power before they crack than the 302 does. if u get a fiberglass hood, aluminum heads, and aluminum rad you should make up the weight diff.

ttops are SO sweet, but you are loosing a bit of structural ridgidity. make sure to get subframe connectors, especially with the 351
