Windshield tint question
#11
It is illegal if I go below 5", but I don't care if it is legal or not, I would just pay the fines. After checking out the films, I think I am just gonna go with 70. It puts a nice shade on it, which should do what I want.

After you get a couple fines it wont be worth it so much I dont think... Thats why I'm not tinting my windows anytime soon... I just dont want to deal with the laws and such.. Especially since I'll be driving out of state once and a while with it.

Well, to put this issue to rest, I have decided to do just the 5" band for now. My installer said that customers in the past have gotten the full windshield done, then come back to have it removed either due to poor visiblity or tickets. Of course, I didn't ask which percentage these people were using, not that it matters. I believe you are allowed to use any percentage in the shade band, so I am just sticking with the 20% all around. I am having it done tomorrow. I'll be sure to throw some pics into my album.

okay windshield tint looks soo good, im pretty sure it isnt legal in any state, there is 2 marks towards the top of the windshield and you arent supposed to tint below that level, but i know ill be getting 35% on the windshield in the spring, with 5% on the side windows and the 5% on the back windows that i already have. with 35% you can still see at night, i have a friend with an S-5 and it looks sooooo good too.
