How to replace gas pedal? Replaced!
Has anyone done this?
I just picked up a '98 Cobra and it was in need of some new pedal covers.I got the Ford racing ones that are simulated billet.
The clutch and brake covers go on just like regular covers, rubber backed and a pita to get on.
They look good once their on though.
The gas pedal is a direct replacement. It replaces the plastic piece.
I can see the fastner and where it goes but without contorting down under there I can't tell excatly how it will come off.
Any help I could get on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Had to break off the stock pedal to find out how it was attached.[:@]
Turns out to be a press in bolt with grooves that grip both the plastic and the metal shaft.Would have been impossible for me to get off with the pedal on.Using a nut and bolt to refasten since pressing that stock bolt back on wouldn't work either.
With all the work involved I think it turned out pretty well.
Here's a pic of the finished product.
