Default swapping 89 h.o 302 in an 83 capri gs v6

I have a 83 carbed v6 capri, 89 gt motor with most of the wiring harness(I think), an 8.8 out of an explorer,a c5 auto trans, and a ecu on the way. Besides a gas tank and a fuel pump what do I need to make this swap happen?

Ask this question or ask a mod to put this in the 5.0 section.

im not sure but i dont' think that 8.8 is the same so pull out a measuring stick and double check it. also the kmember where diffent for a v8 and 6 cyl but the v8 and 2.3 where the same so thats easy the junk yards are full of them. you will probably need a drive shaft and a shifter.

btw you can trun a c5 in to a c4 pretty easy and its a lot better for putting power to the ground.

well as far as the 8.8 goes it seems to match up. I was also wondering if I could just hook it up to the stock gauges etc. I will post this in the 5.0 section to see if anyone else could help me out a bit more or try and find a link to some general tech on a swap similar to the one I'm doing.
