Default Air Flow

thinking about getting an air intake but i dunno what to get. any advice? worth it?

Don't get a cold air intake, it isn't worth it. Get a K&N panel filter, remove the mesh screen in your MAF, and remove your air silencer. Also if you have the equipment go ahead and cut a larger hole in your fenderwell, you can use a sawz-all or something like that. CAI are mostly used for the sound that they produce and eye candy, other wise the stuff that I just told you to do can flow just as much and sometimes more than a CAI, and plus everything up there, besides the K&N, is free stuff that you can do.

what he said. aluminum cai can heat up and heat the incoming air.

yeah they look sweet but id go wit tha other dudes. wus tha air silencer n where is it? i got a CAI n i wanna take it out, n how do i take tha screen outta my mass air flow sensor?

well you have to remove the MAF to install your CAI so reverse the process and the screen will fall out of the MAF when you remove it. it is circular....

If you remove the screen,be sure to replace the rubber gasket that is around it or you will cause an unfiltered air leak.Just pull it off the original screen and replace it in the intake.
