Default 3.73 Gears

I've been wanting to buy these FRPP 3.73 gears and with my luck they're on sale at AM.

Before I buy them there's two options you can add to it.

1) Add Kit: (recommended)
a) Add master bearing kit
or
b) Add installation kit
2) 8.8 Rebuild Kit w/Carbon Discs

Out of the kits which one would I need. And can someone please explain those?

Thanks in advance.

This really depends on how many miles you have on the axle. Some of the parts can be reused, while others can't. I don't think you need a rebuild kit (w/ clutches for the LSD) if it's new.

Right now I only got 1600 miles on my car... Pretty brand new so can I just buy the gears? Without the master bearing kit or the installation kit?

Also around what mileage would I need to replace them?

I went ahead and looked at the AM site (my wife doesn't like it..... , BUT I do.... ). Anyway, typically differential bearings will last approx. 100k miles before needing replacement (with normal driving). However, you WILL need the installation kit for $36- mainly because it gives you a new crush sleeve (which isn't reusable), and pinion nut and ring gear bolts (which may not be reusable according to Ford). Other things like the shims, marking compound and loctite just make the install easier.
