Default Traction Control not working.....

On my way home today a kid in a civic wanted to play so at the light i went to turn off my traction control and notice it was already off. I waited a few minute and pushed the button again and still nothing. What could cause this?

What do U mean U noticed it was "already off"?? The indicator light works in reverse.. Light "ON" = traction control "OFF"

Do U mean the light is always ON and you can't turn it OFF??

Oh sorry, light turned green and i spun all the way through 1st, 2nd and half of 3rd before i finally got ahold of some street and whooped his *** all over the place. We ended up at another light and he asked for a 2nd chance, i laughed for a second and just as i was going to say sure the light turned green and he stomped it. I didnt attempt to race him because i not he noticed the piggy in my rear view and sure enough i saw the lights come on. As i drove by he waived and was laughing his *** off as well. Also i did check the fuse and it was fine, the car isnt driving any different and from what all of you say i dont need it, so im just going to let it go.
