Default ? on how to identify

how can i tell what 4 speed trans i have i just bought a 5.0 and it had a 4 speed and they had this setup in a fox body and i know they all came with 5 speeds if they where manuals so im just curious what its out of and how good it is if u have any info please let me know thanx (sorry if this is in the wrong section i didnt know where to put it)

1993 lx 5.0 arp head studs,arp rod bolts,.60 over forged high comp. pistons,f303 cam,high volume oil pump,line bored .10 under,rods .10 under,fully balanced,intake spacer,msd plug wires and cap,shift kit,accel coil,bbk h-pipe,flowmaster 2 1/2 pipe,bbk equal length headers,e-fan,ponys,vert mounts,saleen wing,stormin norman hood

:sold: 1989 gt 5.0 engine was losing oil pressure when warm so its getting done now also,flowmasters,bbk headers,shift kit,intake spacer :sold:

Give me more info on the vehicle and I can see. I need to know which 5.0 it is and I can give you all the trans options in it.

thats my problem its not from this year make and model it came out of a 89 gt 5.0 ho and through them years they only had autos and 5 speeds this is a 4 thats y im trying to figure out what it came out of and etc..

For a 4 speed it would have to have been a 2.3L non turbo mustang.

ok but then how did they get the bellhousing for a 5.0 if a 4speed wasnt available for 1 cause a 2.3 wont line up thats y i think its from a older 1

Not sure, but I know the 2.3 w/ turbo shared the same 5 speed as the 5.0. Don't ask how, I am just reporting on what I found in my system.
