Yes, the balancer and flexplate are 28.0 ounce imbalance.

Have you checked engine and transmission mounts?

the car is restored , it has all new mounts ie engine and gearbox, the engine has 4 bolts to hold the front pulley and not three i dont no if that helps for the age the motor was made, i just thought people over in the u.s might have come across this problem before , in my head think''s its a balance problem with the damper and flexplate. how would you know what plate to put on the back of the engine , does the age of the motor dictate the flexplate . if any one can help it would be great thank you

mike.

351W only use the 28oz balance factor. The reason I mention mounts is that one or more may not be tightened completely or could have failed. What type of mounts are you using also? Poly mounts will transmit more vibration into the chassis.

The size of the weight welded to the plate is visibly larger on a 50 oz
