Anyone..Ideas. My 67 mustang idles great accelerates great when in park but when I put it in gear and drive it makes popping sounds and the ride shutters or the movement of the vehile hesitates with the popping.
I took the carb off again and took it to the rebuiler. They tested it and stated it is fine. When I took off the fuel line off the carb it was pressurized and air forced out of it when i took it off.

Check your point gap, advance and ignition timing. Almost sounds like the vacuum advance may be sticking, or the timing is slightly off.

Adjusted again the timing, points and checked fuel lines for ar leaks and it's still popping in drive when I accelerate. It still idles fine and accelerates fine when in neutral.
Any ideas?
did you adjust the carb right, one of the needles might have worn a little, gummed up some or wiggled loose
