We often get questions about, taking a car or truck that has been sitting for years, and troubleshooting reasons why there isn't any power to the inside of the vehicle.
Here are a few simple basics to remember first before diving in too deep.
Get a brand new battery if you do not have one.
Also make sure the battery terminals on the car are cleaned with a wire brush to ensure you’re getting a good contact.
Grab a test light and make sure that the solenoid is getting power to it, and work your way to the harness to see if it's getting to the inside of the vehicle, then troubleshoot your relays and switches from there.
