Exclamation do i need the factory stereo's wiring harness??

i go to remove the cd player that the guy who had the car before me put in, it was wedged in with a few pieces of folded paper...yea i know...any ways...i pulled it out and he cut the factory harness and just spliced the wires from the new cd player to the factory wires....so what should i do...

there is not much you can do unless you want to go to the work to find a factory harness from a wrecker splice it back on then buy a ford pigtail from Metra and splice to your deck and plug in...if your changing players i would just say resplice it.

well im getting cd player he had in there, i called advanced auto and they said they had one for 10.99 i thought id be better off taking where he connected the factory wires to the wires of the cd player he put in and cutting off one the end of the new harness and just matching up the wires so ill be able to get the right harness for whatever cd player i decide to get and just plug it in.....or am i way off and making to much work for what i need?
