Default u-joints?

I just replaced my u-joints on my 88 lx and now the car fills tight and starts to shake a little when I get the car to about 55 mph. I have checked the bolts to make sure that they are tight and made sure that all the clips are in. I marked the driveshaft before I took it out just to make sure that I put in the right way. What could make it do something like that. Could it be that the driveshaft be out of balance or could it be the u-joints? I did have a little trouble puttin in one of the u-joints but I don't know if that would do it. Any idea's?

sounds to me like the u-joints arent installed all the way.Be sure that they have seated exactly were there supposed to be cause if there off to one side alittle bit they will make it shake

well when I was putting them in I made sure that they were all the way in and that the clips fit into there grooves. I was thinking of that but I made sure that I did them right, At least in my eyes i did.

When I replaced mine, the one's from Kragen were a little loose and allowed the d/s to flop around a little.

So I picked up some from Ford ($88) which fit like they are supposed to.

Worked for me.

The alum d/s's are pretty reasonable and come with u-joints. Might be a good excuse to get one.

Hell you ain't lying about that. I have been really thinking about getting that alum d/s but I need to get some suspension work done to the car.

I never put anything but ford parts in .Most of aftermarket parts have a lifetime warranty cause they suck and you need it.I would get a good set of U-joints and put then in and see if the problem stops, I bet it will
