Default 1981 ford mustand dies when in drive plz help

Ok i have a 1981 ford mustang ghia 4.2 v8. It was origonally a 2 barrel setup. I have added a edelbrock performer intake manifold and a 650 edelbrock carb. I added headers and full exhaust. So this is the deal the car idles perfect but dies when i put it in drive and push the gas. I know it is running really rich because i am getting fuel in my oil. I did a compression check but it turned out good all at 120 + or - 3. Timing is suppose to be at 10 and i went two noches advanced. I have checked the car for vacuum leaks and have yet to find one. If anyone has ideas on what to check for please let me know.

I have switched out carbs to make sure that wasnt the issue.....

You switched carbs with what? The original carb? What carb are you running now? Have you checked your float level? I just when through similar fun when I went to a different carb on my 79.

Rebuilt doesnt matter if they are not adjusted right... I am no pro so I just struggled through it. With my holley I ran rich and she died pretty easy. After researching how to adjust it I found my floats were to high and the needles (air/fuel ratio) in the side of the front bowels were to far out. Have you tried to tune the edelbrock?
