Default "service engine soon" light after exhaust install

hey guys posting to really confirm what i need to do to fix this issue. here is the brief rundown. about 2 days after having my x pipe installed my "service engine soon" light came on. yes the o2 senors are hooked up. i only way i could get them hooked up was by using 2 sets of bbk o2 sensor extensions.

so all 4 sensors are hooked up currently, but each sensor has a extension on it. went back to the muffler shop where i had the pipe installed to raise the car back up just so i could make sure all o2's were in place and plugged in. they indeed were. so next they hooked up a handheld cpu to the car to see what "codes" the car was kicking. it came back with 2 problems.

bank 1 & bank 2 cat low output ( or something to this effect )

i had the guy just delete the codes out of the car for a temp fix ( at least on my dash ) so now my "service engine soon" is off, but i know it will come back on.. just a matter of time i guess. i have been told i need to just turn the o2 sensors off with tuner/programmer which leads me to my other question.

i have a friend that has a tuner/programmer for sale, it is a "diablo". now i have been told different things by different people about these things, like they are vin # specific to model year specific. the friend of mine that is selling his, has an 04 gt so as far as model year go's, im good there i guess. my real question is, should i buy this tuner and will it work on my car?

only reason im buying it or would buy it is to fix this o2 sensor issue. i guess for $100 he is asking for it thats a good deal, ive seen them new for $400 give or take.

would this route be the best way to correct my issue?

You could just scoop up some MIL Eliminators and forego the tune right now. They are also available as splice in if money is an issue.

It's not that your O2 sensors are or aren't hooked up. If you're not running cats, your O2s will pick up a very rich code, and try to lean out your motor. Not good in the long run. That's the light you're getting. You need to delete them from the computer or use MILs like posted.
If you buy his tuner, make sure it's not 'married' to his car - meaning he needs to change his back to normal factory tune so you can use it on your car. Not something most guys like to do.
