Default wont start after its warm

i have a 90 hatch. i have recently put a battery relocate kit in her and i dont recall if it was right when i did that or soon after but now my car wont start when it is hot. it cranks fine when it is cold and runs great not even a hiccup but when i get somewhere and shut it off when i try to crank it back over it crank but it wont turn over. i was wondering if maybe that was because the battery doesnt have enough juice to get the power from the trunck to the starter. its an optima red top so that shouldnt be the problem. any help would be appreciated im going to try putting the battery back in the engine bay but that kinda sucks bacsue its so common. help me out felllas

Hi,

Ca you hear the fuel pump prime when you experience these conditions?

You could try doing a voltahe drop test on the feed and ground side of the starting system. Excessive heat will cause extra resistance in any type of wiring.

Take an extra charged up known good battery with you (tie it down) and some booster cables OR a booster pack.

Next time this happens try boosting it AT the battery.
If it starts like when it's cold. Most likely the battery is dying a slow death.

If that don't help. Boost it at the front. Black to the block and POS to the starter solenoid. The big lug that doesn't go to the start, but to the battery. If that kicks her up and going, it's the power wire.
