2000 Mustang V6. It's been parked for a few weeks because of a brake issue. This morning I attempted to start it. It cranks but will not start. The THEFT light stays on while cranking, and then flashes for a few seconds after I release the key from the start position.
The key is a factory key.
What I would really like to do is just disable the PATS. Is there a guide somewhere on how to do that?
Thanks for any advice.

if it was the anti theft preventing it from starting it wouldnt even crank, so your problem lies elsewhere. check for spark and for fuel pressure. dont bother with the pats.
