Default Mystichrome Paint...

Did you know its made with the green toner that the U.S. $100 bills are printed with...

Friend of mine was going to repaint one for a customer...They had to have a security guard, a ford rep. and a few other people on hand. The car had to be in the booth ready to paint, and after is was painted, they took all the canisters everything was mixed in, even the gun cleaner he used to clear the gun out with. Just a little information I found out this week. Also didn't know the cut in the paint has 9 sides, and it changes to 9 different colors.

Anyone else tried to repaint their mystichrome cobras?

Exactly how many mystichrome mustangs are there?

I'm assuming it was an 04? I knew they had to have the whole boatload of Ford guys on hand to do the 96 Mystics, but not the 03-04 Mystichromes. Ford is way to bloody uptight when it comes to this paint, they might as well send in the FBI and special forces. And the person having their car painted might as well have a lawyer on standby as well... They charge a lot for their paint, but how much is it costing them to have all their reps on location during the painting?

For the 96 Cobra, there were 1950 made, and the 04 model had 1010 (according to americanmuscle.com).

its even worse with the beryllium color for the saleens... there are only a handful of those cars. i wish that they made the 96 mystics in convertible because that would be my dream car. i dont like the color on the 03's nearly as much.

Very cool information but I never did like that paint set up very much. I like the Red on Black, or Silver on Black look personally.

Sounds like a buncha hog wash to me... its expensive but its not top secret... you can buy it... at professional auto paint store.

TRADE MY Mach 1 HOOD + scoop set up for easy GT install (attached, no intake system necessary, unless you want it) for a COWL hood and maybe STOCK + CASH (but probably not). The hood is painted silver, in great shape, does need a color sand, but thats no biggie. Would prefer a swap for a silver one, but will consider many options. Need to trade due to changed plan on this car. RTP/Greensboro/Charlotte
