Im looking at picking up this 81 as a daily beater and then dropping some money in it down the road. I emailed the guy and he said this
"I don't know the milage on either the engine or the body the engine was rebuilt by a good friend of mine for his brother whom I purchased the car from... At that time they put a dash from another car in it and changed the frontend to the newer style.... I do know that the engine, wiring harness and computer were from an 86 and that the engine was fully rebuilt with cylinders bored .030 over and main and rod bearings .010 under.... I have only driven the car about 10 miles .... I was told that the front seal on the trans leaked a little but have not looked for myself....the car does not smoke and does not smell like cigarette smoke or anything else for that matter.. the title shows exempt for milage.... the car is far from pristine but then mustangs are expensive..... I could sell the ground effects t tops and tail lights on ebay for my asking price and still drive the car to the scrap yard but would rather see the car go to someone who can use it ."
